Data & Privacy Policy
Last Updated: January 19, 2026
At iabdi.com, I believe that good design starts with respect for the user. This policy outlines how I handle your data—or, more accurately, how little of it I actually need.
1. What Data is Collected?
I aim to collect the absolute minimum required to provide a functional and insightful experience.
Analytics: I use lightweight analytics (e.g., Fathom or Plausible) to see which articles are popular. This data is anonymized. I don’t know who you are; I only know that someone enjoyed reading about Duolingo’s RPG mechanics.
Contact Information: If you reach out via a contact form or email, I will have your name and email address. I only use this to reply to your inquiry.
Cookies: I avoid tracking cookies wherever possible. If any are used, they are strictly for site functionality (like remembering your theme preference).
2. How Your Data is Used
Your information is never sold, traded, or used for "shadow" marketing. It is used solely for:
Maintaining and improving the website.
Responding to your direct messages or job inquiries.
Analyzing general traffic trends to decide what to write about next.
3. Third-Party Services
I occasionally embed content from other platforms (like YouTube videos or Figma prototypes). These services may collect their own data as per their respective policies. I recommend reviewing the privacy settings on those platforms if you have concerns.
4. Your Rights (GDPR & Beyond)
Regardless of where you live, I respect your right to privacy. You have the right to:
Access: Ask me what data I have about you (usually just an email).
Deletion: Request that I delete our email correspondence.
Opt-Out: Browse the site with "Do Not Track" enabled; my analytics will respect that.
5. Security
I take reasonable measures to protect any information shared with me. However, please remember that no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
6. Contact
If you have any questions about this policy or how your data is handled, please feel free to reach out via the contact page.
